Langford, BC – Jan. 10, 2024 – Pacific FC today announced they have exercised an option on fullback Georges Mukumbilwa’s contract, bringing him back to play for the Tridents for the 2025 Canadian Premier League (CPL) season.
“I’m ready to fight for our club, our fans, our Island. I’m ready to come in and give it my all day in and day out, to help bring a title back to Pacific FC,” said Georges Mukumbilwa.
Mukumbilwa dealt with injuries during the 2024 CPL season limiting him to 13 appearances in all competitions, for a total of 720 minutes across CPL and TELUS Canadian Championship play. The 2025 season will mark his fourth season as a Trident.
When healthy, Mukumbilwa has provided a versatile defensive presence on the Tridents backline shutting down opposing wingers on either flank. His athleticism and speed allow him to minimize threats and lead effective counterattacks out of the back, as seen in his one assist in 2024.
