PREVIEW: Pacific FC look to return to winning ways versus Valour FC

Pacific Football Club (1-4-2) travel to IG Field in Winnipeg, Manitoba for Canadian Premier League (CPL) action Thursday night versus Valour FC (3-4-0). Kickoff in the game is set for 5:00 p.m. PST.


Pacific FC continue their road trip traveling to Manitoba to take on a strong Valour side. The young squad look to return to winning ways following the tough 1-0 loss against York9 on the weekend that saw a missed opportunity from the penalty spot and an own goal that left the Ontario side with all three points. Head coach Michael Silberbauer will be looking to change things around this week to build some momentum ahead of a string of home matches throughout July.

Valour FC return home to Investors Group Field Thursday looking to grab a foothold in the league. Currently sitting in third place, Valour return from a weekend matchup in Hamilton with second place Forge FC. Valour scored an early goal, however were unable to fend off a defiant Forge team that scored a brace in the final ten minutes off corner set pieces to win 2-1.

Thursday is an important game for Pacific FC as they look to secure a second win of the season. Meanwhile, Valour will look to challenge teams in first and second (Cavalry FC and Forge FC) with three points versus the Vancouver Island side.
