Pacific Football Club (4-6-3) travel to Tim Hortons Field this Saturday, September 28th to face Hamilton’s Forge FC (7-1-4). Kickoff in the game is set for 12:30 p.m. PDT.

Pacific return from a tough game in Calgary on the weekend. The Island contingent suffered a 4-1 loss to the Spring Champs at Spruce Meadows. Despite the result, 20-year-old Terran Campbell continued his goalscoring record with his 11th goal in CPL action to move into the lead as the league’s top goalscorer. 

The young side from the West Coast will be eyeing to bounce back with a big three points against a strong Forge FC. 

“The boys know we need to show a response in this match after our last performance,” stated assistant coach James Merriman. “Training has been good, but we do know we need to be better.

“Forge is a very good side looking to book their ticket into the Final and we have to be ready from the start.”

Forge FC led by head coach Bobby Smyrniotis currently sit in second place. The Ontario side have been battling back and forth with Cavalry FC for first place throughout the inaugural season. 

On Saturday, Forge FC have the chance to seal their spot in the CPL Finals if Cavalry FC beat York9 and all three points stay in Hamilton. Led by the second top goalscorer in the league, Tristan Borges, Saturday’s game is set to be an action filled event. 

September 28th is a key game for Pacific FC as three points could put the tridents back into third place. Meanwhile, Forge FC will be eyeing three points on Saturday to reach the inaugural CPL Finals. 

Vancouver Island fans can join in the excitement at Darcy’s Pub Downtown and Westshore as well as Strathcona. The Saturday matchup will be streamed live on www.onesoccer.ca.
