Pacific FC announced today that Thomas Meilleur-Giguère, known amongst fans as TMG, will not be returning for the 2025 Canadian Premier League season. Meilleur-Giguère, a free agent following the 2024 season, joined Pacific FC prior to the 2020 season which took place in Prince Edward Island in a shortened COVID-19 campaign. =
Meilleur-Giguère joined Pacific FC after three seasons with Ottawa Fury FC in the USL Championship and quickly endeared himself to the Trident faithful with his passionate brand of football. A mainstay on the Tridents backline, Meilleur-Giguère appeared in 120 matches for Pacific FC which currently ranks second all-time.
Meilleur-Giguère has been a presence in the biggest matches in Pacific FC history, most notably helping Pacific FC win their first CPL Final in 2021 against Forge FC. The Quebecois native also played all four matches against Waterhouse FC of Jamaica and C.S. Herediano of Costa Rica during Pacific FC’s 2022 CONCACAF League campaign.
Pacific FC would like to thank Thomas Meilleur-Giguère for all of his time as a Trident and the positive impact he left on the club, the community and the fans over the past four seasons.
