Victor Blasco re-signs with Pacific FC for 2020 Season

Victoria, BC (Dec. 18th) – Pacific Football Club is pleased to announce that Victor Blasco is contracted through the 2020 season.

“Victor can be an exciting, dynamic attacking player fan favorite on his day,” said James Merriman, Interim Head Coach, Pacific FC. “He has great qualities and we believe he grew a lot on and off the field last season.”

Blasco, 25, featured 26 times for the Island contingent across all competitions.The Spanish-born midfielder is touted as a dangerous attacking player scoring six goals and three assists in the 2019 season.

“Victor was one of the most exciting players in the league last year,” said Rob Friend, CEO, Pacific FC. “We think he has a lot of potential and we are looking forward to seeing what he can do next year.”

In 2015, Blasco made his pro debut with Whitecaps 2 of the USL Championship turning heads in the local soccer scene over the course of two seasons. Blasco has a history on Vancouver Island having played for Vancouver Island University in 2014 and 2016 – 2018. He played previously in Spain, for famed youth academies FC Barcelona and UE Cornellà.

Pacific FC is currently in discussion with several players from the 2019 roster who have options to continue for 2020 with the club and will be updating accordingly.
