Marco Bustos will be returning to Pacific FC for the 2022 Canadian Premier League season.
Bustos was a finalist for league MVP in 2020 and was on track to repeat that feat in 2021 before injuries got in the way. The 25 year old attacker only played in 17 CPL matches last season but still finished with seven goals and six assists – good enough for eight and second in the league respectively. Bustos had five goals and five assists in 13 games to start the season before injury forced him out for two months. The fan favourite has starred on the right side of attack since joining Pacific in 2020 and will be back at full strength to terrify any defence he comes across in 2022.
Bustos, who has been capped six times for the Canadian men’s national team, joins Jamar Dixon and Callum Irving as the core of returning players announced already. The remaining PFC returnees will be announced in the coming weeks.
