Kamron Habibullah has joined Pacific FC on loan from Vancouver Whitecaps FC for the 2022 Canadian Premier League season.
Habibullah arrives at Pacific having come through the Whitecaps Academy and after making three appearances for the Whitecaps’ first team last season. The 18-year-old midfielder made his professional debut in Vancouver’s early-season match against Colorado Rapids, and collected two more appearances throughout the season. Habibullah previously excelled for the ‘Caps youth teams, playing from U-16 to U-19 and quickly rising to join the first team in 2021. Habibullah’s debut last season made him one of the youngest debutants (11th youngest) in Whitecaps history.
The right-footed attacking midfielder is an intricate and intelligent player both on and off the ball. Habibullah is also a well-regarded prospect for the Canadian national team, having played for Canada at the U-17 level. Notably, Habibullah scored three goals in the team’s qualifying matches for the 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup and made three appearances at the final tournament in Brazil.
Habibullah follows in the footsteps of Isaac Boehmer who joined Pacific from Vancouver on loan last season. Habibullah is the latest new addition to the Pacific FC squad for 2022.
