Semifinal schedule announced for Pacific FC vs. Vancouver Whitecaps in TELUS Canadian Championship
Canadian Premier League

Canada Soccer announced on Monday the remaining schedule for the 2024 TELUS Canadian Championship, with the tournament now down to its final four and semifinals set to begin in July.

The next clashes will see two Canadian Premier League teams take on a Major League Soccer side from the same province, as Pacific FC play Vancouver Whitecaps FC while Forge FC face Toronto FC.

Both semifinals will be two-legged affairs, with the first matches being hosted by the CPL sides as the lower seeds followed by the reverse fixture in leg two at the homes of the MLS clubs.

The full semifinal schedule is as follows:

Semifinal 1: Vancouver Whitecaps FC vs. Pacific FC

  • Leg 1: Wednesday, July 10, 7 p.m. PT/10 p.m. ET at Starlight Stadium (Langford, B.C.)
  • Leg 2: Tuesday, August 27, 7:30 p.m. PT/10:30 p.m. ET at BC Place (Vancouver, B.C.)

Semifinal 2: Toronto FC vs. Forge FC

  • Leg 1: Wednesday, July 10, 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT at Tim Hortons Field (Hamilton, Ont.)
  • Leg 2: Tuesday, August 27, 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT at BMO Field (Toronto, Ont.)

The 2024 Canadian Championship final will be played in late September and will be hosted by the winner of Semifinal 1 — that is, either the Whitecaps or Pacific.

Both of these matchups have some history in this competition. The Whitecaps first played Pacific in 2021, where the CPL side won a memorable preliminary round tie 4-3 at Starlight Stadium. The two B.C. teams met again in the 2023 semifinal, but the Whitecaps won that match 3-0.

Meanwhile, Forge and Toronto have met just once, in the 2020 Canadian Championship final at Tim Hortons Field (played in June 2022). That game finished 1-1 over 90 minutes, but TFC claimed the Voyageurs’ Cup by winning a penalty shootout.

All four TELUS Canadian Championship semifinal matches will be available to watch online at OneSoccer.ca and via the OneSoccer app, on the FuboTV Canada platform, and as a linear channel on TELUS’s Optik TV (Channel 980).
