Our VI Wave 2008 Girls headed south of the border to Phoenix, Arizona this past weekend to take part in the annual Desert Super Cup tournament. Led by VI Wave head coach, Dave Dew, the VI Wave 2008 Girls finished the tournament undefeated while conceding zero goals en route to winning the 2024 Desert Super Cup in the U-17 Super-Pro Division.

What is the Desert Super Cup?

The Desert Super Cup is a traditional American Thanksgiving tournament in the western region. The sought after tournament is open to teams ages U9-U19 and draws 40% travel teams across the USA and Canada. The Desert Super Cup is currently ranked as the sixth best soccer tournament nationwide on GotSoccer. Our VI Wave 2008 Girls participated in the Super-Pro Division in the Female U-17 age group.
